About
So far in my short time as a global citizen I have traveled to Nicaragua, Ecuador, The Netherlands, and South Africa, but this time I take on a whole new adventure. Before, when I would travel I would either go with a group of people I knew, or I would meet someone I knew on the other side.
This time I have kicked off the training wheels, and I believe that the world is there to be explored, not to be guided through from the sidelines.
In the fall of 2016 I wrote up an extensive project proposal in order to study Buddhism and Buddhist culture in Sri Lanka while volunteering with the International Volunteer Headquarters restoring and renovation temples. Through Woodberry Forest's Class of 2008 Volunteer Fellowship I was granted the opportunity to study just as I had proposed to do.
Here are my stories.
